Saturday 24th November 2018 – LONGMOOR CAMP, HAMPSHIRE
TOUGHER THAN TOUGH MUDDER
Longmoor Camp- home of the original HellRunner event. Much copied but never equalled. And now wilder and wetter, hillier and hellier than ever. A heady mixture of hills, water features and sand-sapping ascents… served ice-cold if you please.
It’s tougher than Tough Mudder and grimmer than the Grim. Oh yes. If running was an animal it would be a dog. Let’s just say HellRunner is part of the dog’s undercarriage. It really is that good!
2000 lost souls will face an epic endurance challenge of 10+ miles laced with theatre, music and pyromania. Naturally devilishly good fun.
Additional online booking fee applies
If taking on the full might of the devil’s wrath in HellRunner is a bit too far, a bit too mucky and a bit too much to consider, we’ve got the perfect solution. Valhalla. We’ll take you half way to hell (well, not really)
At approximately 6.66km in length you might think you’ve got the devil’s number. But we’ll still give you a little taste of Hell all right. Off road and off-piste you’ll go but not without the iconic experience and memorable finish to your journey offered up by the legendary Bog of Doom.
A rewarding experience in every way as you’ll be greeted at the finish line with a special Valhalla tee shirt and medal, along with our de- luxe goody bag, regarded by many as the best in the business. They say a little bit of what you fancy does you no harm. Hell, yes!
Heaven: Up to 31st March = £27.50
Purgatory: up to 21st October = £30.00
Hell: 21st October until race day = £32.50
PARAS 10 AT HELLRUNNER
Based on The Parachute Regiment’s 10-miler selection / training protocols. the Paras 10 march is traditionally conducted over undulating terrain with each man ‘tabbing’ carrying a bergen weighing 35lbs plus water and a weapon. The march must be completed in 1 hour 50 minutes!
It is now very fitting that Longmoor Military Training Camp plays host to an even harder test — The Paras’ 10 at HellRunner! It will be the ultimate 10 Mile Endurance Race: entrants can tab (no weapon!) or run ‘clean fatigue’ in shorts and trainers.
Do you know that TAB stands for Tactical Advance to Battle. The origins are in airborne troops landing on a drop-zone which could be miles from the enemy or even behind enemy lines. Without support vehicles, Paras must carry all their equipment, rations and weapons. The tab is a fast march with weight which can be doubled to a run at intervals. Paras do NOT ‘yomp’.
The Paras 10 at HellRunner wave options are in addition to the main HellRunner event and we especially encourage participants to fund-raise for the Support Our Paras charity.
To include special Paras 10 finisher’s tee shirt and medal

There are new travel arrangements for this year’s HellRunner event.
On November 18th we have two entry points for vehicles arriving before 9am.
If travelling from the Southampton direction, come off the A3 at the Longmoor Camp junction and turn onto the A325, Woolmer Road. Head towards Bordon and then turn back on yourself at the first roundabout. Just before the A3 junction you will see the steward controlled entry point. THIS ENTRY POINT WILL CLOSE AT 9AM SHARP.
From 0715am the usual Grigg’s Green entrance will be open and will remain so throughout the day to all bona fide HellRunner participants and spectators. NO ACCESS INTO/THROUGH LONGMOOR MILITARY CAMP WILL BE ALLOWED. There will be a 20mph speed limit in force. Please respect this at all times.
Runners: Please ensure that your race number or proof of entry is on display and readily available if requested.
If coming by taxi, you shall be required to be dropped off at either of the two entry points highlighted above. Thereafter stewards will assist in encouraging another vehicle to take you to the event hub.
Bona fide disabled spectators (with their vehicles) shall be required to enter via the Griggs Green access point but will be allowed access to a parking area as close to the event hub as possible. Please ensure that a valid Blue Badge is on display.
Your Race Number With Integrated Timing Device
These will be posted out no earlier than two weeks before the race and sent to the address you provided at the time of entry.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT WE HAVE YOUR CORRECT ADDRESS. IF REQUIRED, REPLACEMENT NUMBERS AND TIMING DEVICES WILL BE CHARGED AT £10.00 AND MADE AVAILABLE FOR COLLECTION ON THE MORNING OF THE RACE.
Your timing chip is on the back of your race number – a white strip on the back. Just attach your number as usual, taking care not to pierce the white strip with the pins.
There will be a manned baggage area close to the Start / Finish. Please note that we cannot guarantee the safety of any item(s) left in this area. You should ensure that all items of left baggage are clearly marked with your race number.
There will be a small changing area situated alongside the signed Left Baggage marquee and close to the start/finish area. A lot of people will choose to use this though so we strongly recommend that you arrive in your running clothes and bring additional warm and dry items to put on for your return journey. We regret that there are NO SHOWER facilities on site at the venue.
Medical support will be present on the course and at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions. Please note – do not run with a cold or flu. This can be extremely dangerous.
Toilet facilities will be available (especially for those of a nervous disposition!) but we encourage all competitors to make use of any alternative toilet facilities en route to the event. May we ask all competitors to be respectful of the local environment, facilities and other competitors in all sanitary matters!
For the main HellRunner event there will be two opportunities en-route where bottled water will be made available in addition to that provided at the finish.
For those taking part in Valhalla, there will be a minimum of one drinks station in addition to the bottled water provided at the finish.
Hot food and drinks will be available for purchase at the venue.
A range of bespoke HellRunner merchandise items will be available for sale at the event. Additionally, these are available now online at myeventstore.co.uk.
An event goody bag will be handed out close to the finish funnel. This will include your special souvenir HellRunner T-shirt and some other goodies! You will also receive your HellRunner survivor’s medal.
RUNNERS WHO DO NOT WEAR THEIR RACE NUMBER AND TIMING CHIP WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COLLECT A GOODY BAG.
Please check your t-shirt size immediately upon collection as we are unable to guarantee that we can exchange t-shirts after the event.
Awards will be made as follows:
The fastest 3 men & first 3 women from Wave 1 runners. There will be NO age-group prizes. Prize winners will be issued with their prize on the day and if they are not present will be notified by email within one week of the event. A prize award will be made to the first male and first female in the Valhalla wave
